CSI 1417P

The Xmaru 1417P Portable DR CsI Flat Panel has been developed in conjunction with Samsung. This high resolution, portable 14”x17” (8lbs – 0.6 inch thick) DR panel is within the price range  of high-end CR systems and therefore a must-have for the busy Medical, Orthopedic Center, Portable x-ray businesses, Hospital, Surgery Center, IDTF’s and Veterinary centers looking to go digital or switch from CR to DR.

Generally, the X-ray conversion screens are rare earth screens such as gadolinium oxysulfide (Gadox).  The Xmaru 1417P has a CsI (Cesium Iodide) screen, which gives the best optical coupling efficiency. CsI is used in applications like low-dose fluoroscopy, where the photon flux is very low. In addition much higher absorption efficiency, CsI also produces roughly twice  the light output of a gadolinium screen, which  results in more than four times the signal at the photodiode.
